Korg recently announced that its microKONTROL USB-MIDI controller is now bundled with three software products suited for dance music creation and performance—Ableton Live Lite 4 Korg Edition; SampleTank 2 Korg Edition and MDE-X—collectively known as the Kreative Control Pack.

Ableton’s Live Lite 4 Korg Edition is a “Lite” edition of the latest version of the audio/MIDI loop-based sequencer. Featuring two plug-in instruments and five plug-in effects, it enables MIDI loops and phrases to be triggered and played with microKONTROL’s pads, for real-time song creation. This version contains audio and MIDI recording functions and a host of editing functions, as well.

IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 2 Korg Edition is a free version of the sampler plug-in software, with CC settings specifically created for microKONTROL. Its sound library contains over 39 types of sounds; 160 MB total.

MDE-X is the full version of Korg Legacy Collection’s multi-effect, VST/Audio Units plug-in software containing 19 effects. It can be used as audio effects in Live Lite 4 Korg Edition’s audio/MIDI tracks and send/return tracks.
