Coinciding with the worldwide launch of its Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Crystal Core (CC-1) digital media engine, Fairlight has announced the first sale of the technology: German beta site Cine-Impuls acquired a CC-1–powered Constellation-XT mixing console with built-in DAW to serve its Berlin-based television production company.
"Our clients are always surprised about the good quality and sound of our productions and the smooth and easy work flow in our studios," says Clemens Grulich, Cine-Impuls' technical director. "Now it is time to invest in a new Fairlight. We are moving to multichannel surround production and want to fascinate our clients once again with Fairlight's cutting-edge technology, integration and sound quality."
