Native Instruments released Reaktor Version 5.1.2 for Windows and Mac. The new version offers Universal Binary support for Intel-based Macs and features improved integration with Native Instruments' universal sound platform, Kore, resulting in faster loading of Kore sounds based on Reaktor instruments and effects.
The 5.1.2 update is available as a free download for all registered users of Reaktor 5 on the company’s Website. For installation on an Intel-based Macintosh computer, a Universal Binary license code can be purchased for $29 from the NI Online Shop. Customers who first registered Reaktor 5 after September 12, 2006, are eligible for a free Universal Binary license code.
Native Instruments also released Kore V. 1.1, which includes support for the new SingleSound format, optimized integration with recently released NI software instruments, pre-listen functionality, additional KoreSounds and the ability for the Kore software to operate without a hardware controller.
The SingleSound format complements the existing MultiSound format in Kore and optimizes handling of patches that use only a single instrument or effect. The format allows for sound categorization and attributes, and is also used by Massive, Absynth 4, Battery 3 and FM8, maximizing integration and compatibility between Kore and individual instruments.
Kore's new pre-listen functionality allows the auditioning of both SingleSounds and MultiSounds directly inside the sound browser with a single mouse-click. Kore 1.1 also offers a selection of 55 additional MultiSounds that use the sonic capabilities of Massive, Absynth 4, Battery 3 and FM8.
Kore 1.1 also adds an external sync function for external MIDI control, a new add/replace function for KoreSound editing and a large number of minor optimizations and fixes.
