Omnia Audio has introduced the new Omnia Multicast audio processor, equipped with SENSUS technology, which helps HD radio broadcasters deliver multicast audio with “punch” and clarity.

Developed in partnership with Telos Systems, SENSUS is a suite of audio enhancement tools designed especially for multicast. SENSUS predicts the effects of the HD Radio codec and intelligently counters the problems. It works to improve fidelity, reduce artifacts and optimize audio.

Omnia Multicast features a 48 kHz, 24-bit audio processing platform with up to 384 kHz internal sampling rate; 3-band dynamic peak limiter with unique feed-forward/feedback design and intermodulation distortion (IMD) reduction, plus wideband AGC; Omnia Bass Management EQ with up to 12 dB of bass boost; and remote control via serial, optional Ethernet or optional dial-up connections. Omnia Multicast accepts digital inputs from 32 kHz to 96 kHz.

Omnia Multicast will debut at the 2005 NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia, September 21 to 23, 2005 Booth # 211. MSRP: $4,310. For more information, visit www.omniaaudio.com.
