IK Multimedia is now shipping the new AmpliTube Live as a stand-alone application for Windows XP and Mac OS X. Each AmpliTube Live box now includes the AmpliTube LE plug-in for most major formats (VST, AudioUnits, DX and RTAS).

AmpliTube Live and LE includes selections from guitar amp and effects modeling software, making it easy to create a vast array of powerful amp sounds on the road without a heavy amp setup. Onboard effects include a set of four classic effects with a spacious spring reverb and three stomp-like effects including wah wah, delay and overdrive. In addition to a host of amp selections and effects, there's also a chromatic tuner, which allows players to stay in tune under a variety of conditions. It works with built-in Windows and Macintosh audio cards and doesn’t require special setup or configuration. A total of 128 presets can be changed using MIDI foot controller, allowing the user to emulate the widest range of amp sounds.
