JBL Professional has appointed Paul Bauman to the position of Director, Tour Sound Product and Application Engineering. Bauman has more than 22 years of professional audio and global touring industry experience, including key positions at Adamson Systems Engineering and Maryland Sound International.

Bauman joins JBL from L-Acoustics, where he held posts as Head of Research and Development and Director of Technical Support. He has earned a bachelor's degree in physics and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from McMaster University (Canada); a master’s degree in physics from the University of Waterloo (Canada); and engaged in doctorate-candidate studies at Chalmers University of Technology’s Department of Applied Acoustics (Sweden).

Bauman joins a team led by David Scheirman, Vice President, Tour Sound, JBL Professional.
