Plug-ins are in use almost every day in any music production. What's your go-to plug-in? What's the oddest use you've put a plug-in into effect? E-mail the staff at mixeditorial@mixonline.com.
The Lollapalooza Festival (Chicago) in early August hosted 130 bands on eight stages over the course of three day. On-hand for the event was the Dolby Lake Processor, four of which were deployed by production services company StagePro on the festival's PlayStation and AMD stages.

"We love it; it sounds awesome," says Tim Smith, production manager for StagePro, of the Dolby Lake Processor. The company purchased the four units two months ago. "The ability to make changes from multiple locations around the venue, as well as the intuitive control software, made tuning the rigs a joy. There were many compliments from both band engineers and patrons. For where we were at with our audio systems, which are based around JBL VerTec 4889 speakers, the Dolby Lake was the perfect choice."
The Kansas-based full production services and mobile staging company used two tablet computers for wireless control of the Dolby Lake Processors.
