Plug-ins are in use almost every day in any music production. What's your go-to plug-in? What's the oddest use you've put a plug-in into effect? E-mail the staff at mixeditorial@mixonline.com.

Following the recent opening of its U.S. offices in Nashville in June 2006, Innovason has announced a similar initiative housed at the facilities of UK pro-audio sales and distribution operation Stirling Audio.

Located in west London, Stirling Audio provides a perfect operational HQ for Innovason UK. "In order for Innovason to continue to grow and develop, it is essential that we have a have a solid base in the UK with a UK phone number where customers and engineers can access our products—and product specialists—quickly and easily," says Xavier Pion, Innovason sales and marketing director. "The collaboration with Stirling Audio has enabled us to set up Innovason UK in an extremely timely and cost-effective manner. The new UK office will house permanent demo and training facilities in addition to providing technical support and after-sales service. Sales to the end user will be handled directly by the manufacturer with stock coming direct from our factory in France.

"The benefits to everyone are clear," Pion continues. "We benefit from the existing structure and London location of a thriving business in the pro-audio sector, which has enabled us to be operational almost immediately, and Stirling will be able to take advantage of a new brand under its roof and the customers it will generate with none of the risk associated with a traditional distribution arrangement."

Stirling Audio proprietor and MD, Andrew Stirling, is in full agreement. " Innovason were very clear in that they weren't looking for a UK distributor," he says. "What they wanted was an opportunity to go direct, and that's exactly what I was able to provide. The arrangement we have reached suits us both perfectly and makes absolute business sense for us both. I think it's what they call a win-win situation! Furthermore, I think it's an excellent product, and I'm delighted to have Innovason UK operate out of our facilities here."

Innovason UK will be organizing a number of demos and training sessions throughout the UK in the coming months.
