Plug-ins are in use almost every day in any music production. What's your go-to plug-in? What's the oddest use you've put a plug-in into effect? E-mail the staff at mixeditorial@mixonline.com.

Na’Bodach recently performed at the Banshee Pub in Scranton, Pa. Playing from left to right: George Zienowicz on fiddle, Bud Osthaus on bodhran, Andy Redmond on guitar, Casey Jones on electric pipes and Glenn Owens on guitar.

For live performance quality and consistency, Na’Bodach, a musical group specializing in Celtic fusion, relies on Neutrik for their current East Coast tour, playing at festivals, clubs and bars. Formed six years ago on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Na’Bodach—Gaelic for “not old men”—comprises five lifelong musicians with a passion for Celtic music with an edge.

“The Neutrik gear is incredible,” says Andy Redmond, lead and harmony vocalistm as well as percussionist for Na’Bodach. “We’re on the road frequently, performing eight to 10 times a month, so we need equipment that is going to endure the rigors of touring. Neutrik supplied us with XX XLRs, PX plugs and NYS225 speaker plugs that withstand the constant abuse from packing and unpacking, as well as rough handling during the live set. The performance at each show is solid and true. It’s nice to not have to worry about signal flow and the durability of your gear when you’re up onstage.”

Joining Redmond in Na’Bodach are Bud Osthaus on lead and harmony vocals, bodhran and whistles; Casey Jones on highland and lowland pipes, lead and harmony vocals and whistles; George Zienowicz on fiddle and highland pipes; and Glenn Owens on electric guitar, mandolin, harmony vocals and sound.
