The XDR95 24-bit digital wireless consists of the bodypack XDT4 transmitter and rackmount XDR4 receiver. The incoming analog signal is converted to 24-bit digital and then alternate samples are transmitted on two separate RF channels. This allows interpolation between adjacent samples to fill in any dropouts caused by interference from spread-spectrum devices. Response is said to be 10 Hz to 20 kHz, with 118dB dynamic range.

AKG C5 AND D5 WIRELESS MICS: Wireless versions of AKG C5 and D5 vocal mics include: the C5 WL1 condenser and D5 WL1 dynamic mics, with interchangeable heads for the HT 4000 handheld in the WMS 4000 system. Offering up to 1,200 selectable UHF frequencies, the WMS 4000 comprises the SR 4000 receiver, HT 4000 handheld transmitter and PT 4000 bodypack. The HiQnet-compatible WMS 4000 has a backlit display, battery life indicator, Silent mode, environment scan and auto-setup frequency search. AES booth #408.

AKG IVM 4 IEM SYSTEM: This pro solution for in-ear monitoring includes the half-rack SST 4 stereo transmitter, SPR 4 stereo bodypack receiver and a pair of IP 2 earphones. The transmitter accommodates up to 14 channels and has an integrated dbx compressor, EQ presets and in-ear-optimized binaural room simulations for a natural listening experience. Operating time is up to seven hours. Several antenna choices are available. AES booth #408.

AUDIO-TECHNICA SPECTRAPULSE WIRELESS: Designed for conferences, courtrooms, boardrooms and more, the SpectraPulse Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless mic system offers near-hard-wired performance without concerns about RF competition, frequency coordination, white-space issues or infringement from other wireless systems. Rather than conventional carrier frequencies, UWB uses a series of nanosecond pulses within the 6GHz spectrum. AES booth #608.

ELECTRO-VOICE NEW REV WIRELESS: The new REV pro wireless features an optimized analog audio path for performance rivalling wired systems. REV-Linkā„¢ PC software enables remote monitoring, control and programming over a CAN bus connection through an E-V UCC-1 converter or Netmax N8000. Up to 16 systems can operate simultaneously in one frequency band, with 950 possible channels.

LECTROSONICS SLOT-MOUNT ENG RECEIVER: The SR 2-channel, slot-mount Digital Hybrid Wireless diversity receiver offers two independent channels and fits into the standard slots found on pro video cameras. Graphic spectrum scanning provides easy location of clear operating frequencies. The two receivers offer 256 frequencies and operate with any of the Lectrosonics 400 Series transmitters without a compander in the audio path and compatibility modes facilitate operation with Lectrosonics 100/200 Series and IFB analog systems, along with analog transmitters from two other manufacturers. MSRP is $3,300, with deliveries in Dec, 2007. AES booth #642.
