There was a lot of buzz back in September around Johnny Depp returning to a dramatic role and transforming himself into the Whitey Bulger role, and that buzz has come back around in anticipation of awards season. On the sound side, pay particular attention to the real life environments and the weaving together of effects and music throughout the track. Note: This is one of two collaborations this year between master sound designer/supervisor/re-recording mixer Mark Mangini and the ultra-talented musician Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL. All that and you hear every word. A great job all around.
