Todd-AO (an Ascent Media company) announced that two-time Academy Award-winning re-recording mixer Scott Millan has been signed to a deal in which Millan will return to Todd-AO. Millan, who left Todd-AO in 2000 to accept a position with Sony Pictures Studios Post-Production, will be returning to Todd-AO effective August 1, 2004.

In addition to having won two Academy Awards (Gladiator in 2000 and Apollo 13 in 1995), Millan has also won a BAFTA Award, three C.A.S. Awards and five Emmy Awards.

Millan rejoins Todd-AO as senior VP of creative sound services, studio operations. He will join the senior management team and participate in the direction of studio operations, as well as working closely with the creative sound services staff, including two-time Academy Award-winning re-recording mixer Michael Minkler.

"Along with our existing mixing staff, Scott will represent the studio side of creative sound services here at Ascent Media. His stellar reputation for attention to detail and pursuing excellence in the art of sound make him an excellent addition to our team," said Lon Bender, president of Ascent Media creative sound services.
