Record Plant Recording Studios Names Jeff Barnes Studio Manager

The Record Plant Recording Studios in Los Angeles recently announced that Jeff Barnes (pictured) has been named to the position of Studio Manager. The announcement was made by Rose Mann-Cherney, Record Plant Recording Studios President, and further emphasizes the company’s ongoing growth and expansion of its staff.

In his new position, Jeff Barnes will work closely with Rose Mann-Cherney and Vice President/General Manager Jason Carson, and manage the day-to-day studio operations including studio bookings, scheduling of engineers, and overseeing technical operations/equipment and project budgets, while interfacing with producers, recording artists and artist managers.

“Over the years, Jeff has become part of our Record Plant extended family. His work ethic is second to none, and I am extremely proud to have him on our team,” states Rose Mann-Cherney. “Having started with us six years ago, Jeff has grown to become a tremendous asset to our organization, and I look forward to working with him in his new position of Studio Manager.”

A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Barnes began his career studying film scoring at USC in 2003. He then attended the Los Angeles Recording School, graduating in April 2008. He started at the Record Plant Recording Studios in May of 2008 as a “runner,” rising rapidly over the years within the organization to become Studio Manager.

“I am extremely excited and proud to have the opportunity to take over the position of studio manager for the historic and influential studio that I have been lucky enough to call home for the last six years,” Barnes says. “Starting as a runner and working my way up to this point, I have a great understanding of the operation of this facility on many levels and look forward to using that knowledge to bring the integrity of the Record Plant to a whole new level.”
