Aphex at the 2012 Grammy Awards

Aphex CEO David Wiener

For years Aphex has been behind the scenes at the world’s most watched live events, and has long been at the heart of the Grammy Awards. This year, through the company’s friends at Music Mix Mobile, Aphex played an important role in providing unparalleled audio for the attendees and the broadcast.

Aphex CEO David Wiener stopped by the Music Mix Mobile Eclipse and Horizon trucks where Joel Singer, Music Mix Mobile’s co-founder and the engineer in charge for the Eclipse Broadcast truck, was hard at work to ensure the most exceptional sound and highest fidelity.

Singer and his team employed banks of Aphex products: 1788 Remote Controllable mic pre’s with hundreds of channels were stacked with other Aphex processors to ensure the consistently flawless sound that’s crucial for a live broadcast of this magnitude.

Aphex states that it “is proud to be a part of Music Mix Mobile’s killer audio arsenal behind the scenes at such renowned live events as the Oscars, Super Bowl, Country Music Awards, and Latin Grammys.”
