Apogee Quartet Desktop Audio Interface for Mac Now Shipping Worldwide

Apogee Electronics announces that its new Quartet desktop audio interface and control center for the Mac ($1,295 MSRP) is now shipping worldwide. Quartet features four inputs, eight outputs, MIDI connectivity, top panel full color OLED display, single controller knob, assignable QuickTouch pads, Soft Limit, and Apogee’s microphone preamps and AD/DA conversion technology for recording at 24-bit/192 kHz.

Quartet connects to any Mac via USB 2, promising extremely low latency and reliable performance. Quartet’s four combination inputs offer microphone, instrument and line input with a stated gain range of up to 75 dB. For additional channels, Quartet’s eight digital inputs (ADAT/SMUX input, two Toslink connectors, 44.1 to 96 kHz) create the option of connecting an external interface.

Quartet also has six balanced analog outputs, which can split into three stereo pairs using Apogee’s Maestro software, a stereo headphone output, MIDI I/O on a USB-A type connector, and word clock output.
