Audio-Technica To Hold Seminar Events At NAB

Audio-Technica, a leading innovator in microphone and headphone technology, is holding a series of informative seminar events during NAB 2009 in Las Vegas at the company’s booth, N2121.

Dennis Baxter will present seminars on “Surround Sound for Sports Broadcasting” from April 20-22 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Baxter is a multiple Emmy Award winner and the sound designer for the 2004, 2006, 2008 and upcoming 2010 Olympic games, as well as the author of A Practical Guide to Television Sound Engineering.

Dr. Fred Ginsburg, specialist in production sound recording for motion pictures and video, will present seminars on the “Placement and Use of Lavalier Microphones.” These are scheduled for April 20-22 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dr. Ginsburg is a distinguished member of the Cinema Audio Society (CAS). For nearly two decades, he has worked as a sound mixer on feature films, episodic TV and commercials, as well as for corporate and government applications. An extensively published author, Ginsburg currently serves on the faculty at California State University, Northridge.
