Brace Audio Ships New Digital Wireless Transmitter

Brace Audio DWG1000-TX Digital Wireless Transmitter

Brace Audio in Scotts Valley, Calif., is now shipping its portable and lightweight DWG1000-TX Digital Wireless Transmitter ($99.99 MSRP) as an aftermarket product for their DWG1000 Digital Wireless System for guitar and bass.

The DWG1000-TX Wireless Digital Transmitter promises fast and effortless instrument changeover and consistently impeccable audio quality. Brace Audio’s ALL™ Automatic Channel Selection and Locking instantly and transparently links the transmitter to the receiver when units are powered on. Each guitar can have its own transmitter and can individually link to the same receiver at any one given time. Eight to 12 systems can be used at a given time.

The DWG1000 Digital Wireless System offers a frequency response of 10 Hz to 15 kHz for thunderous lows and crystal-clear highs, while providing an operational range of 100-feet from the base unit. Brace Audio technology converts the guitar signal into pure digital audio and transmits it to the receiver using 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) transmission on any one of more than 65,000 channels. During the conversion back to analog, the system is said to eliminate the many problems inherent in analog systems, such as audio hiss, crackle, signal loss and RF interference. The Brace internal antenna operates at 2.4 GHz, which is useable all over the world.

In addition, Brace Audio’s technology does not use companding (compression/expansion), which is necessary on other wireless systems to mask their noise floor, and it promises to eliminate non-linear characteristics that result in distortion of frequency response and signal.
