Cakewalk has updated its Rapture wavetable synthesizer. The Version 1.1 update is available as a free download for registered customers.
Version 1.1 offers native Windows Vista support and Universal Binary support for Audio Units, VSTi Version 2.4 and RTAS; it’s also compatible with Pro Tools Version 7.3. Rapture now operates in stand-alone mode under Windows XP, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Vista, Windows Vista x64, Mac OS X PowerPC and on Intel-based Macs.
Rapture’s engine has been optimized for faster load times and reduced memory usage. It also offers new DSP and filter routings, including six new DSP Transforms and 14 different serial and parallel DSP/filter routings. Mouse wheel scrolling has been added to Wavetable Selection, and Previous/Next buttons facilitate improved Program browsing. Furthermore, it features updated dropdown menus for all SYNC Rate selections within envelope generators, LFOs, STEPGENs and Global STEPGENs. Cakewalk has also added a comprehensive MIDI modulation matrix with new enhancements and 50 new Rapture programs by ProSounds and B Rock.
