CharterOak Acoustic Devices, a manufacturer of hand-assembled pro audio equipment in Enfield, Conn., announced the release of the S700 Broadcast Microphone. The CharterOak S700 will be on display for the first time at the Musikmesse Frankfurt from April 1-4 (Hall 5.1 D35).
Based on CharterOak’s S600, the S700 employs CharterOak’s Series 700 type head amplifier with the S-3 type capsule used in the S600. The S700 was designed to meet the needs of broadcasters with a robust midrange, smooth and detailed top end, and internal plosive filter.
