Fairlight Restructures, Appoints Tino Fibaek as General Manager

New Fairlight General Manager Tino Fibaek

Fairlight announces a re-organization of its corporate structure instigated by Fairlight’s investor directors George Kepper, Kenji Fukuda and Rodney Lowe, which introduces a formal management team that will enable the company to move forward in line with changing market demands and the future requirements of its international customer base.

Tino Fibaek (pictured), who was responsible for Fairlight’s FPGA technology, takes over as general manager, with responsibility for the company’s worldwide operations, from John Lancken, who has left the company to pursue other interests.

Commenting on the restructuring, George Kepper says: “Since the reformation of Fairlight in 2003, Fairlight’s business has grown significantly and John has done a great pioneering job for the company. Our new management structure enables us to capitalize on current growth levels, expand into new territories and deliver even better technical solutions and service to our discerning customer base.”

Fairlight’s Crystal-Core FPGA technology is the foundation of all of Fairlight’s new products. It has immense potential and is already proving itself in the international broadcast market with sales to major facilities in the U.S., Europe and Far East. With the new management team in place, Fairlight can focus on increasing this market penetration and offering more cost-effective and powerful products.

Key responsibilities for manufacturing, R&D, sales and marketing, have been distributed to an experienced senior management team reporting directly to Fibaek. Senior development engineer Gary Lamb takes over as R&D manager, while Chris Pickard becomes manufacturing manager. Ken Barnsley, the newest member of the Fairlight team and formerly European Operations Director, has expanded his role to direct worldwide sales and marketing. Andrew Bell, one of Fairlight’s longest serving employees, assists him as marketing coordinator.

“This is a new and very exciting time for Fairlight,” says Fibaek. “With an expanding R&D program we will see new products introduced, directly targeting new markets. Most importantly, we have a very dedicated R&D team, committed to offering total workflow solutions, with third-party audio and video systems for the broadcast and post-production sectors.”
