Producer John Fields and engineer Steven Miller have recorded strings for the forthcoming Jonas Brothers album, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times, in the recently re-opened Studio A at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood.

Joining Fields and Miller were string arranger/conductor Stephen Lu; violinists Wes Precourt, Daphne Chen, Eric Gorfain and Radu Pieptea; violists Briana Bandy and Caroline Buckman; and cellists Richard Dodd and Matt Cooker.

Hailing from Wyckoff, N.J., the Jonas Brothers—Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas—gained initial popularity from the Disney Channel children’s television network. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. They have released three albums: It’s About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007) and A Little Bit Longer (2008; click here to read Elianne Halbersberg’s story about these sessions from Mix‘s March 2008 issue). The band’s fourth studio album is scheduled to be released June 15, 2009 on Hollywood Records. In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards.
