L-ACOUSTICS in Oxnard, Calif., has added several new employees to its U.S. distribution team. Official word of the appointments comes from Paul Freudenberg, L-ACOUSTICS’ vice president of sales and marketing, and to whom all of the new hires report.
Paul Tillman and Dave Weidenhoffer are both former L-ACOUSTICS reps who have been brought in-house to serve in the company’s newly created regional sales manager positions. Additionally, Jan Nguyen has stepped into the role of sales and marketing coordinator, with Annette Bilous joining the organization as administrative assistant and receptionist.
“Dave and Paul have been a part of our extended team for several years and each demonstrated exceptional performance as independent reps,” says Freudenberg. “Their dedication to our product line and customers has been second to none, so we’re very glad to now retain their services on a full-time basis.”
Prior to his new appointment, Paul Tillman served as the principal of Champion Enterprises, a rep firm that carried the distinction of being named L-ACOUSTICS’ “Rep of the Year” for the 2007 calendar year. Tillman will continue to operate out of his office in the southern Minneapolis/St. Paul suburb of Eagan, Minn., and predominantly service the manufacturer’s Northeastern U.S. territory.
“L-ACOUSTICS was a huge part of me shifting from being a live sound guy to a rep,” says Tillman, “so I’m very pleased to continue to be working with the same wonderful equipment and group of people that I’ve come to know and respect.”
Dave Weidenhoffer, who will largely focus on sales in the Southeastern U.S. region, joins L-ACOUSTICS from Western Audio Sales, where he previously called on the Southern California and Nevada territories for the manufacturer.
According to Weidenhoffer, “Considering that practically every loudspeaker manufacturer now offers at least one line array system, L-ACOUSTICS’ influence on this industry cannot be overstated. And the company’s new designs continue to be every bit as forward thinking as V-DOSC was many years ago. Needless to say, I’m extremely proud to be a part of the L-ACOUSTICS family.”
Sales and marketing coordinator Jan Nguyen comes to L-ACOUSTICS from Valley Crest Tree Company of Calabasas, where she most recently served as a marketing specialist. Annette Bilous, L-ACOUSTICS’ new administrative assistant and receptionist, previously spent the past three years with TC Group Americas in Westlake Village where she carried out the duties of office administrator and accounts assistant.
“We also welcome Annette and Jan to our team,” adds Freudenberg. “Their organizational abilities, attention to detail, and creative contributions will all certainly be valuable assets to L-ACOUSTICS as we move forward.”
