The Music Group—a holding company for pro audio and music products brands, and the corporate parent for Midas, Klark Teknik, Behringer and Bugera—announces the acquisition of professional loudspeaker manufacturer Turbosound, based in West Sussex, England. The addition of Turbosound allows Music Group to round out its professional and touring sound offerings alongside Midas and Klark Teknik. Music Group states that the combination of brands is aimed at delivering complete system solutions to touring and install customers.
Turbosound has remained at the forefront of loudspeaker technology for more than three decades, and has earned the prestigious Queen’s Award three times, including for Innovation in 2012.
“Since the acquisition of Midas and Klark Teknik, we have been pursuing a loudspeaker brand that complements the consoles and processing offered by these historic brands,” says Uli Behringer, Music Group founder and CEO. “Throughout our search Turbosound has stood out as the ideal match because of their extensive IP, sterling reputation and a first-class team of people. Music Group states that it expects that Turbosound will benefit from Music Group’s extensive infrastructure while retaining its own manufacturing, sales, marketing, and distribution network worldwide.
