Nashville Music Business Camp April 30-May 3, 2009

Nashville Music Business Camp (NMBC) was created by a team of Music Row professionals who “believe knowledge is the first step to planning and achieving your dreams of a music career.” The camp aims to initiate, produce and promote seminars focused on educating aspiring artists, songwriters, musicians and persons interested in careers in the music business.

The camp will offer lectures, advice, and classes on various career paths in the entertainment industry. “If you are serious about a career in the music business, this is where you need to be. We want to help make this happen,” says Teddy Gentry, founding member of country group Alabama and a member of Country Music Hall of Fame.

Scheduled speakers include Gentry, professional imaging consultant Suzanne Skinner, Blake McDaniel (Creative Artists Agency), John Ozier (VP of Artist & Repertoire for Curb Records), Nashville Songwriters Association national membership director Sheree Spoltore, Bernard Porter (CEO of Porter-Gentry Productions and president of Porter Consulting Group), and more. NMBC will also offer publicity, financial planning and artist management to be announced in the coming weeks.

For more information, contact Doak Turner at 615/354-6400, [email protected]; or Preshias Harris at [email protected].
