Shure Incorporated in Niles, Ill., announces that the NSCA (National Systems Contractors Association) presented its 2010 Per Haugen Lifetime Achievement Award to Shure Chairman Rose L. Shure. The award was presented earlier this month at the InfoComm trade show in Las Vegas to an industry leader who has proven to be a dedicated and sincere champion for the electronics and communications markets.
“It is an honor to award Mrs. Shure with the 2010 NSCA Per Haugen Lifetime Achievement Award,” says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. “The commitment Mrs. Shure and the late Mr. Shure made to the company’s high expectations is exemplified through the professionalism of Shure employees and products. She sets an amazing example of what future leaders in our industry should strive for. Under her leadership, Shure has become a premier manufacturer in the industry and an outstanding advocate for wireless microphone users.”
“I’m very honored to have been given this award,” Mrs. Shure says. “Really, it doesn’t belong to me; it should go to my husband [Sidney N. Shure], who founded and built this company. I am pleased to accept this in his memory.”
Mrs. Shure’s career at Shure Incorporated began more than 60 years ago. She helped Shure grow from a small microphone and phonograph cartridges company to a leading global audio electronics manufacturer with a strong and diversified product line. Shure products are now used and publicly endorsed by prominent musicians, public speakers, sound contractors and audio engineers around the world.
“Over the years, Mrs. Shure’s private life, her philanthropic activities, and her professional life were one,” says Shure President and CEO Sandy LaMantia. “She is devoted to our company and to our associates. Her ongoing support and leadership demonstrate what it is to serve faithfully and with humility, intelligence and compassion.”
Business integrity, respect, and fair treatment for all continue to be her motivators, according to LaMantia.
