PreSonus Offers Free PRM1 Reference Mic with Purchase of StudioLive 24.4.2 with Smaart

To celebrate the release of PreSonus Universal Control Version 1.7 with integrated Rational Acoustics Smaart audio-analysis and optimization software, between March 1 and May 31, 2013, PreSonus is offering a free PreSonus PRM1 precision reference microphone with the purchase of StudioLive 24.4.2 digital mixer.

Smaart Measurement Technology provides a spectrograph and real-time analyzer (RTA) that graphically displays a mix, allowing the user to quickly fix frequency problems and squelch feedback.

Universal Control V. 1.7 adds three Smaart wizards for viewing the frequency response of a venue, quickly calculating and setting delay-system timing, and verifying output connectivity for tuning a P.A. system in any type of venue. A reference or “measurement” microphone such as the PRM1 is needed to use these new wizards. PreSonus describes the PRM1 as “a super clean, omnidirectional mic with a flat frequency response for capturing the sound in the room as accurately as possible.”

PreSonus normally sells the PRM1 reference mic for $99.

This offer is valid at all U.S. PreSonus dealers and at dealers in several other nations. Customers outside of the U.S. should check with their local dealers to find out whether they are participating.
