RØDE Extends MiCon Compatibility

RØDE Microphones in Sydney, Australia, has released three new MiCon connectors that offer additional compatibility with its line of compact wearable microphones, which include the RØDE Lavalier, HS-1 headset and the RØDE PinMic.

The MiCon-6 adapter provides connectivity with selected AKG wireless systems, including the PT 40, PT 60, PT 61, PT 80, PT 81, PT 400, PT 2000 and PT 4000. The MiCon-7 adapter provides connectivity with selected Lectrosonics systems including the SM, UMa and LMa Series, as well as the UM450. The MiCon-8 adaptor provides connectivity for the Sony UWP series of wireless transmitters.

Released in late 2010, the original five MiCon adapters allow for connectivity with 3.5mm stereo and XLR, as well as selected wireless systems from manufacturers including Shure, Sennheiser and Audio-Technica.

RØDE has also announced an additional PinMic with longer pins to allow for use with heavier clothing and fabric. The PinMic features a detachable capsule head that mounts onto three pins on the microphone backplate, providing a discreet alternative that can be located almost anywhere on a wide range of clothing and fabrics.

RØDE states that it is now shipping its Lavalier, HS-1 (black/pink), PinMic, and entire suite of MiCon adapters and cables.
