RØDE Microphones Announces Departure of CEO Mark Ludmer

RØDE Microphones announces that after nearly 10 years of service to RØDE Microphones, in various capacities from the company’s inception, Mark Ludmer is resigning his position as CEO to pursue other opportunities. Damien Wilson will now take over complete management of the U.S. company and will also continue as Global Sales and Marketing Director for both RØDE Microphones and Event Electronics.

Ludmer had previously worked in the MI industry for Alesis and Event Electronics. RØDE states that Ludmer was the first employee of RØDE LLC in early 2001, when RØDE Microphones’ Director Peter Freedman decided to branch out in the U.S. market. Over the next nine years Ludmer steered the U.S. company through its growth in staff and capacity, and in its dealer base. RØDE further states, “Mark has been a permanent fixture for RØDE over the years and his dedication, not only to the business but also to the musician, has given RØDE the penetration in the market that it enjoys today.”

“RØDE is sad to see such a dedicated staff member leave the team,” says Freedman. “Mark has been with the company since the beginning in the U.S., and his commitment and dedication have been invaluable. Although I am sad at this stage to see him go, I understand and respect his decision to move on and pursue other opportunities in the industry.”

“Working at RØDE has been one of the greatest experiences of my life and along the way I have met some amazing people and learnt a great deal about business and the industry,” Ludmer says. “I am positive about this next move and wish RØDE the very best as they continue to release innovative product and cement themselves as a market leader.”
