SPARS To Present Legacy Award to Joe Tarsia

Joe Tarsia

SPARS announces the establishment of a new annual award, the SPARS Legacy Award, to be given each year to an industry luminary who historically has demonstrated outstanding leadership, vision and commitment to the recording studio movement in America and the professional recording craft in general.

The SPARS Board of Directors is honored to select as its first recipient Joseph D. Tarsia—a Philadelphia native, industry pioneer, past owner of the legendary Sigma Sound Studios, first SPARS president and one of the founders of SPARS.

The award will be presented during the upcoming 131st AES Convention in New York on October 21, 2011 at the SPARS, P&E Wing and APRS In the Mix annual reception.

Find out more details about the SPARS Legacy Award and see Joe Tarsia’s bio.
