Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams of AC/DC, along with Steve Luongo and Mark Hitt of the John Entwistle Band, have been recording their latest song collaborations at Unity Gain Recording Studio in Fort Myers, Fla. for a spring iTunes release. “It’s truly a magical team of musicians,” says owner and chief engineer Anthony Iannucci, “with tremendous energy and cutting edge songs.”

Johnson has been singing in the control room through a Shure SM7B patched into a Manley SLAM! dynamics processor, while Williams plays his signature Ernie Ball Music Man Bass through an Avalon DI and an Ampeg Classic Series SVT-810E cabinet.

Drummer Luongo plays a custom Yamaha drum kit, and Hitt plays his rare “TransPerformance” Les Paul through a vintage 1969 100-watt Marshall amp, which allows him to “instantaneously change tuning” in the digital realm.

Unity Gain Recording Studio was established by Iannucci in 1989. After freelancing in New York recording studios for several years, he decided to move to southwest Florida to create a studio facility to provide professional recording services, as well as a recording school to teach people the art of multitrack recording. International, local and corporate clients keep the studio busy 24/7.
