Vintage King Audio Announces Winner of Its Neve 1073 Giveaway

Vintage King Audio, a leading dealer of vintage and high-end recording equipment based in Detroit, announces the winner of its Neve 1073 giveaway: Brandon Whitesell of Raleigh, N.C.

The company states that its two-month long sweepstakes received more than 10,000 entrants after Vintage King announced the giveaway in Mix, Electronic Musician, and other industry publications, as well as on its own Website. Neve recently established a service center in Los Angeles and saw the giveaway as an opportunity to familiarize a new generation with a brand that has represented the pinnacle of professional audio design for more than 40 years.

“The Neve 1073 is considered by many to be one of the most revered mic pre/EQs ever created,” says Vintage King owner and director of business development Andrew Nehra. “The 1073, which Vintage King exclusively carries in the United States, normally retails at over $3,000. This giveaway was an opportunity to educate those who have never heard of a Neve 1073 and provide a chance for someone to own the piece of iconic gear that, up until now, might have just been on their wish list. Vintage King’s philosophy has always been to treat every customer exactly how we want to be treated—and what musician or engineer wouldn’t want the chance to own such a classically designed, world-class piece of gear?”

Sweepstakes winner Brandon Whitesell is a musician with a home recording studio in Raleigh, NC. Whitesell plays keyboards (and occasionally guitar) in rock band The Magic Babies. He has worked on a number of recording projects including his own band, his duo Onlooker, and Poles Apart, a project completed entirely as a file-swap between Whitesell and graphic designer and musician Roy Brooks.
