38 Greene, a new 10,000-square-foot sound studio, opened this month at 38 Greene Street in Manhattan’s SoHo District.

According to Gary Moskowitz, a production engineer, co-partner in the enterprise with Oink Ink Radio founders Dan and Jim Price, as well as owner of Baker Sound Studio in Philadelphia, said, “The control rooms at 38 Greene are large–very spacious. You don’t feel confined, and clients can relax in a big, comfortable lounge. It’s a homey, laid-back environment.”

Highlights include Pro Tools|HD 5.1, surround sound A/V option for video, and sound design and mix-to-picture studios, as well as a host of veteran staffers and award-winning talent, including Joe Gauci (former production engineer at Nutmeg Recording in New York City) and Emily Frankfurt (a one-time executive music producer for McHale Barone).

38 Greene will operate as a separate company from Oink Ink Radio, although because of the facility’s size, it will house the new offices of Oink Ink.
