Bremen, Germany-based AB Licht und Ton is the next company to join Alcons’ The Ribbon network. Andreas Beer and Andree Nows, of AB Licht und Ton, are now the proud owners of a system that comprises 18 LR16, six ALC2 controller/amplifier, SDP processing, cables, racks, AC distribution and transport cases.

Beer said, “Already in the first listening tests, the sound quality struck us immediately. We didn’t know this quality was possible at such high and low sound pressure levels.”

The system was first used at the opening of Space Center Bremen, one of Europe’s largest indoor adventure park. Sound engineer Nows commented, “We had some specific problems to overcome as the listening area started some 60 feet away from the speaker arrays with a waterfall in between. Because of this situation, it was absolutely critical to project the sound over this waterfall and onto the audience. With the help of the ARC software, we could get the first cabinet to start exactly at the first row of seats.”
