A smaller version of the MPC60, the MPC1000 portable musicproduction center features 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads andthe intuitive transport and locate controls.
Also included are the Note Repeat function and two Q-Link slidersthat allow real-time interaction with tuning, filter cutoff, layerswitching, attack and decay. Two separate multi-effects processors(plus a master output effects processor), resonant multi-mode filters,four-way sample layering and velocity switching per pad, two MIDI Insand 32 MIDI channels via the two MIDI Outputs, multiple audio outputsas standard, footswitch inputs for hands-free control and four-polefilters (two two-pole filters) for each of the 32 voices. Memoryfeatures include 16MB onboard RAM that can be expanded to 128 MB.
New features include the use of compact flash as a storage mediumand support for the Mass Storage Class USB standard (a Mac/PC sees theMPC1000 as a Compact Flash reader without needing a driver installationon the computer). This implementation allows the user to drag and dropdata between the desktop and the MPC1000’s CF card to build asound library on the CF card or vice versa.
