Annex Digital Changes Name

Digital Audio Productions, headed by president Russell Bond, announced that it has assumed the assets of the Menlo Park, Calif. arm of Music Annex Inc.; also announced was the company's new name from Music Annex to The Annex.

The company's engineering staff—Robert Iriartborde, Tom Carr, Chris Cooper, Matt Campagna and Mark Bruhn—will stay onboard, with Carr filling the role as studio manager. Also remaining with the company are CTO Bob Grudulis and Aaron Peterson, as well as Tony Wentzel continuing as operations manager. Forrest Lawrence will add new services to the duplication departmetn, Chris Wolfe will handle backup and support for all activities, while both will act as house assistant engineers during larger sessions. New hire Kimberly Contreras will be handling customer service.

Other changes to the company include upgrading the studio by adding Pro Tools|HD, high-end DAWs, enhancing Studio B in the coming months, as well as its lobby and common areas.

The company also unveiled its newest division, MindLab, which is a certified Digidesign Pro School, offering dedicated Pro Tools training at the end-user level. The Annex also offers Digidesign Certification Curriculum from the entry level to Pro Tools Expert certification.
