Behringer launched three console-style powered mixers, the EUROPOWERPMX1000, EUROPOWER PMX3000 and EUROPOWER PMX5000, which areultracompact 2x 300-watt (PMX1000) and 2x 400-watt (PMX3000 andPMX5000) powered mixers that incorporate COOLAUDIO, the company’samplification technology. The PMX Series mixers are expected to ship inthe first quarter of 2004.
All three table-top PMXs offer flexible I/O options, such as fourmono and four stereo channels (PMX1000), eight mono and four stereo(PMX3000) and 12 mono and four stereo channels (PMX5000) withstudio-grade IMP “Invisible” Mic Preamps on all or mostmono channels. The PMX1000 and PMX3000 feature one 24-bit stereoeffects processor, while the PMX5000 offers two independent 24-bitstereo effects processors with 99 VIRTUALIZER presets, each includingreverbs, delays, chorus, flanger and more. The company’s FBQFeedback Detection System reveals critical frequencies on theEQ’s fader LEDs, making easy feedback removal possible withoutusing external equipment. In addition, there 3-band channel EQs,switchable pad and clip LEDs on all mono channels, as well as a stereo7-band graphic EQ for precise frequency correction of monitor and mainoutputs. A special Voice Canceller function removes singer's voice fromrecordings for Karaoke applications.
The company’s Speaker Processing function adjusts frequencyresponse to match professional speaker systems such as the its EUROLIVESeries, and a Standby switch mutes all input channels during breakswhile background music is provided via tape inputs. The internalswitch-mode power supply (100 to 240V) provides maximum flexibility,noise-free audio, superior transient response and lowest possible powerconsumption.
