Behringer announced the launch of the Behringer Tube UltraGainMIC200, the second in a series of high-end vacuum tube preamplifiersintended as a sound-enhancing tool for studio, live and hard diskrecording. The Tube UltraGain MIC200 is expected to ship in the secondquarter of 2004.

Each MIC200 is equipped with a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube withUTC technology for warmth, lowest noise and signal integrity. Inaddition, the MIC200 features ultraflexible preamp modeling technologythat allows the user to quickly optimize recordings and choose between16 preamp voicings. The MIC200 complements studio-grade condenser micsand can also be used as a DI box.

The MIC200 features the company’s output limiter that preventssignal distortion, a dedicated low-cut filter eliminates unwanted noisesuch as floor rumble, a phase reverse function, +48-volt phantom powersupply, a highly accurate 8-segment LED level meter and a 20dB padfunction. Balanced inputs and outputs on 1/4-inch TRS and gold-platedXLR connectors complete its feature set.

This microphone preamp may be used as a preamp for instrumentsranging from electric and bass guitars to keyboards and percussion.

The MIC200 is designed in Germany and manufactured under the ISO9000certified management system.
