The first in the CAD equitek2 Series condenser mics, the new e1002supercardioid electret condenser will ship early this year. The e1002features an extended frequency response of 10 to18 kHz; a dynamic rangeof 132 dB; total harmonic distortion of less than 0.15%; high-outputcapability of 148dB SPL with pad; transformerless balanced outputcircuits; and an internal power reservoir system.
Completely designed and engineered in CAD’s Conneaut, Ohio,engineering department, the new equitek2 series are professionalservo-condenser mics designed to provide a high level of performancedistinguished by absolute transparency, rugged integrity, a naturalopenness and detailed imaging. The five new equitek2 Series mics areversatile and suited to numerous recording and onstage applications. Inaddition to the new e1002, equitek2 includes the e2002 and e3002 largecondensers, the e602 instrument mic and the e802 live performancemicrophone.
