Ultimate Sound Bank introduced “Charlie,” an all-organvirtual instrument designed to bring the sounds of the classic electricorgans to the composer’s desktop. Powered by USB’sUVI-Engine, Charlie’s 3GB sample library delivers authentic organsounds and CPU efficiency. Charlie will be distributed in North Americaby ILIO Entertainments and was unveiled at Winter NAMM 2004.

Charlie’s 3 GB of samples were recorded using premium gear ata world-class studio. All of the samples are available with and withouta rotating speaker effect, allowing the user flexibility without theneed for a sampler. Hundreds of drawbar combinations are provided alongwith real-time crossfade control between presets and speaker effects.Charlie offers extended parameters, including percussion, classic synthcontrols and reverb, to allow each preset to be adapted to anyuser’s individual needs. The product’s full MachFivecompatibility provides users of MOTU’s virtual sampler withdirect access to the library. All user-edited parameters can be savedwith each project for creativity and efficiency.

Charlie retails for $299, and is available for the PC (VSTi), Mac OS9 (MAS, RTAS and VST) and Mac OS X (MAS, RTAS, AudioUnits and VST).
