Shure Incorporated (www.shure.com) announced that Chinese authorities recently destroyed a large quantity of counterfeit Shure microphones along with a number of knock-off accessories and parts.

In total, 730 counterfeit Shure microphones were destroyed alongside numerous parts and accessories that included 15,000 microphone cartridges, 7,000 microphone grilles, 5,300 microphone handles, and an assortment of cables, packaging and even fake user’s guides.

“This action sends a clear message to counterfeiters everywhere,” said Rob Ascough, managing director of Shure Asia Ltd. “We’re not only watching, but actively working to rid the marketplace from any sub-standard products that trade on the Shure name and reputation.”
