Edirol Unveils New FireWire Audio Interface

Edirol announced the FA-101, a 10-input/10-output FireWire bus-powered audio interface offering two premium mic preamps with phantom power 1/28/2004 7:00 AM Eastern

Edirol announced the FA-101, a 10-input/10-output FireWirebus-powered audio interface offering two premium mic preamps withphantom power, six dedicated TRS balanced inputs and eight dedicatedTRS balanced outputs. This half-rack unit has a front-mounted opticalS/PDIF input and output and rear-accessible MIDI input and output.

The FA-101 offers simultaneous 10 inputs and 10 outputs at up to24-bit/96kHz audio quality on both PC (ASIO 2.0, WDM) and Mac(CoreAudio), and is capable of running completely from the power of theFireWire bus. In addition, it supports stereo in and out at 24-bit/192kHz. The FA-101 can also be powered by the included DC adapter with4-pin FireWire ports.
