World-renowned music mastering and DVD authoring facility Gateway Mastering and DVD (Portland, Maine) has taken delivery of five Grace Design model 901 Reference Headphone Amplifiers, a 1U, half-rack enclosure designed to provide audio pros in music, post and live sound with headphone monitoring, whether from an analog or digital stereo source.

“We recently had the opportunity to audition a pre-production version of the 901 and were blown away with the accuracy, detail, and ability to deal with both analog and digital inputs that the 901 provides,” explained Bob Ludwig, president of Gateway Mastering and DVD. “In the final stages of quality control, both stereo and 5.1 music projects are monitored through a high-end headphone monitoring chain. The 901 has become the new headphone reference standard here at Gateway.”

Grace Design VP of sales and marketing, Doug Wood commented: “We’re honored that Bob Ludwig and his team at Gateway have chosen the model 901 as their new headphone reference system. The validation of the 901’s design and audio performance by Mr. Ludwig is exciting and confirms that building audio products that perform at the highest level is not only desired, but a requirement for audio professionals who demand the very best.”
