HHB's PortaDrive Location Sound Recorder has been updated with a newUSB2.0/FireWire docking station that accepts the PortaDrive’sremovable HD caddy via a slot in the front panel to deliverlightning-fast file transfer with Mac- and PC-based post-productionsystems.

The PDRDSUF docking station features a universal power supply andcomes with both USB and FireWire cables to connect to a DAW. The unitrecords eight channels of uncompressed 24-bit/96kHz digital audio inAES-31 ADL Broadcast .WAV or Pro Tools Version 5 formats to a rugged,removable hard disk. Other features include three on-board digitalmixers, simultaneous recording of rushes to an external drive,high-quality mic preamps with phantom power, comprehensive timecodefacilities and advanced power management.
