ICIA has launched a new electronic recruitment service on its Website (www.infocomm.org) that is geared specifically for the A/V industry. The site offers a cost-effective method of employee recruitment, where employers pay a small fee to post jobs and job seekers submit their resumes at no cost. ICIA has teamed up with Brainhunter.com Ltd. to provide this service.

A secure job posting tool allows employers to post, edit and delete jobs, as well as screen candidates against specific qualifications. Employers can also search a resume database specifically focused on A/V candidates. Job seekers are able to investigate new career opportunities, receiving electronic alerts when a new posting fits their criteria.

“Recruiting qualified staff is a significant challenge for our industry,” said Randal Lemke, Ph.D., ICIA executive director. “Our new job board is tailored for the needs of the A/V industry, and we think it will be a very positive contribution to the industry and to members.”

“Building on the success of ICIA’s workforce-development programs such as SkillsUSA, ICIF scholarships and internships, and AV Tech Online, a college curriculum in AV, ICIA’s new online Career Site is the final component needed to bring job candidates and employers together,” said Terry Friesenborg, CTS, ICIA senior VP of education and professional development.
