Mark Gander, VP of marketing for JBL, was awarded the JBL Professional (Northridge, Calif.) “Golden Speaker Award” for his 25 years of dedication to the company.

Michael MacDonald, JBL Professional president, presented the award during the company’s annual holiday party. “Mark is one of JBL’s not-so-secret weapons. He’s the first and last stop for audio information at JBL Professional. We are privileged to have him on our team,” explained MacDonald.

The award was a surprise to Gander, who was asked to say a few words: “It’s been quite a ride. I’ve been fortunate in my career at JBL to have been able to serve in a wide variety of capacities. Throughout my time, it’s always been the people and the products — the wonderfully dedicated people here and the innovative products we generate to serve our customer’s needs — that have made the difference. I look forward to many more years of contributions at JBL.”

In other company news, Richard Ngo-Tran was appointed to the position of music industry product manager. Ngo-Tran will be responsible for new product development, industry research and existing product line support.

“We are very pleased to have Richard on our staff,” commented Gerald Tschetter, director of music industry marketing for JBL. “We’re confident that his background in many areas of marketing will provide JBL with a fresh perspective and approach.”
