JEMS Data Unlimited (Salem, N.H.), a supplier of high-performance digital storage solutions for multimedia, prepress and imaging applications, hired Joel Fosmire to help launch its new Audio Storage Division.
As JEMS audio division sales manager, Fosmire will focus on bolstering JEMS reseller channels through sales and marketing programs directed at the audio storage market.
“JEMS has always had the reputation of a ‘video storage’ provider, whose solutions crossed over into the audio side of the market,” said Matt Goulet, sales and marketing manager for JEMS Data Unlimited. “Our product line has always been viable for audio applications. Now we bring to the market a true focus on application-specific solutions, years of audio experience and relationships with manufacturers that have been forged over a number of years. We are excited to have Joel as a member of the JEMS team.”
In addition to their existing JEMINI Cougar and BLOX product lines, JEMS will release their new Custom Options Rack and Fire Vault solutions. The JEMINI COR is a 3U, rackmount solution that will house a combination of removable high-performance disk drives, CD burner and tape backup solutions. The Fire Vault is a removable FireWire storage solution capable of providing transfer rates in excess of 60 MB/sec and capacities over 220 GB in a compact, desktop footprint.
In other company news, Ed Bacorn was hired to bolster JEMS Storage Area Network Division. “Along with his years of SAN experience, Ed brings to JEMS a true understanding of the audio/video storage markets and relationships with most of the major non-linear editing and digital audio workstation manufacturers,” said Goulet. It’s exciting for us to add someone like Ed as a resource for our resellers and customers, our development partners and the JEMS team.”
