The Harmon Specialty Group launched the Mark Levinson No433 poweramplifier, the third product to be available this year in thecompany’s new 400 Series.
Based on the No434 and No436 power amplifiers, the No433 is atriple-mono, 200-watt power amp that features a compact chassis andbottom-end heft and weight. Like all 400 Series multimono power amps,the No433 doubles its rated 8-ohm power at 4 ohms and offersindependent power supplies for each channel. Unlike the No434 andNo436, the new 400 Series power amps are entirely convection-cooled anddo not require fans. The new amps feature individual heat sinks foreach channel to maintain a safe operating temperature while deliveringcontinuous output power. In addition, a balanced voltage-gain circuitallows the 400 Series amps to generate more precise signals with lowernoise. The balanced circuit includes ultrahigh-performance parts.
