Representing the music of independent artists and composers to the film and TV communities, Mean Red Music has formed Mean Red Music Placement, LLC (MRM Placement, Los Angeles).
“All of the recent upheaval in the music industry has left many talented composers without access to labels and publishing companies to pitch their music to producers,” said Mean Red Music president J. Zachary Grace. “We’re going to help fill the void.”
MRM Placement has named Rick Linton to the position of sales director for the new company, where he will manage and supervise all of MRM Placement’s sales and marketing activities and approve all MRM Placement licensing and contracts.
“Producers are always looking for new music and we’re going to help them find it,” Linton said. “Filmmakers can choose from unsigned bands to established composers.”
