Omni president Frank Foti and Scott Martin of Nautel will release their joint white paper, “Enhancing the Digital Path: Digital Multiplex (D-MPX) Connectivity,” at the Broadcast Engineering Conference, at 3 p.m., Monday, April 19, at the NAB Convention Center, Room N110.
The technical paper looks at the problems of modulation overshoots due to sample rate converters and the connection method of AES/EBU pertaining to stereo generation in the exciter as opposed to the processor. The discussion will reveal a new concept for high-performance MPX generation and interconnectivity to an audio processor. Also discussed will be the advent of HD Radio and a new performance digital path presented.
