Fishman Transducers Inc., a manufacturer of acoustic amplificationproducts, is now shipping the Loudbox™ high-power, three-way,tri-amped acoustic amplifier.
Now shipping is the 250-watt, single-channel Loudbox ($699.95),equipped with an 8-inch woofer, 4-inch polypropylene mid driver and twosoft-dome neodymium tweeters, each with components housed in their ownsealed enclosures. The Loudbox features an ultrahigh-impedance inputwith an EQ section comprised of bass, treble, midrange and brilliancecontrols. Anti-feedback circuitry (notch and phase) keeps acousticfeedback under control. A spring reverb, mute switch, effects loop andan XLR output complete the features. A three-position kickstand letsthe player tilt the amplifier back as a floor monitor.
The woofer delivers maximum low end with clarity and definition,while the polypropylene midrange drivers cover crucial midbandfrequencies and two soft-dome neodymium tweeters ensure a detailed andmusical treble response.
A 500W, 2-channel Loudbox Pro with a 12-inch woofer, 6-inch midrangeand three tweeters will follow later in the year.
